Terrible tyres. They drive OK but they are cracked and need to be changes on safety grounds before they are work out. The out tread blocks have lots of cracks. This is on tyres just over 3 years from manufacturer date.

First things first, this tire is great, much better than the tires I had before. The dry grip is all there, it never feels unpredictable or slippery no matter how much I push it. The wet grip is lightly tested but it hasn't disappointed yet for the limits I pushed thus far. Dry braking is excellent. The feedback and handling is good. Even through electric power steering, the road feel gets translated quite well. No complaints.

Would NOT recommend at all . Have these tyres on my Mazda MX5 . They are showing signs of spitting on the shoulders on all 4 tyres. Tread is still around 6mm.
So will need replacing despite having plenty of tread left on them.
Contacted Nexen direct by email & received a very swift response very impressed
This was not long lived as have tried several times to contact Nexen & got no response at all via email
Manged to get contact number of person who had email me.
When I called I did get the run around from them. Not possible to put my call through from reception , really.
Left several messages on mobile number that I got. They did not have the courtesy to return my calls or emails.

As per other reviewers after 2 years my tires are cracked. Standard estate in the North of England, motorway driving 70mph tops. Had them on the rear axel and they've worn to 3mm after 20000 miles, switched them to the fronts and the noise is awful with 3mm remaining I don't want tires with cracks between the blocks.

I have this on my recently bought Infiniti M35H, i didnt put them on it came with this tires. All i can say is in curves it feels kinda bad, the car looses grip and u have to take either the curve so slow or to wide or u loose traction. Im gonna change them for a Falken Azenis FK520 in a few days. Also i think these tires dont work well with so heavy cars like mine.

Fitted to my 520d MHT touring at 24,426 to replace the OEM which had failed an MOT. I have covered a further 30,000 and replaced with with Nexen. See below is a photo of the tyre removed. Fitter said could have done more miles!. Ride and handling better than RFT and comfort too. Wear is very uniform and no punctures or bulges. I do check them weekly and keep the recommended pressure correct.

I used these Nexen tyres (215/45) on my 2019 Mazda 3. I have a balanced driving style—I don’t speed or take sharp turns often. Most of my driving is on motorways and average roads, with the occasional pothole.

After driving 40,000–50,000 miles on my front tyres, I found their dry grip to be very good, providing great feedback. The wet grip was decent, but I did notice a slight loss of traction on rainy days, which made me more cautious.

The biggest advantage of these tyres is their affordability—they offer performance that is average to slightly above average for the price. However, my main concern, and the reason for this review, is their durability. Despite my moderate driving habits, I found that these tyres wore out rather quickly.

When my tyres had about 3mm of tread left (around 70% worn), I hit a small but somewhat deep pothole at just 29 mph. To my surprise, the tyre completely blew out in the middle of the road! This incident made me realize that these tyres are not very well reinforced and can become risky as they near the end of their lifespan. While they perform well initially, I urge drivers to be extra cautious once they start wearing down.

I also noticed that the peripheral edges of the tyres began wrinkling, which could indicate weak reinforcement. Perhaps this was just my experience, but I didn’t expect a tyre to fail so dramatically at low speed.

had 2 pairs on my car one with 2020 DOT one with 2022 DOT both pairs are now in Feb 2025 all cracked up on the car and need to change all 4 of them... not very happy with how they lasted... on the car they feel ok, good grip in dry and also in wet (in uk mostly rainy days) never had problems not braking in time (had a few emergency braking, and they done a great job)

Bought the car second hand from a non franchise dealer who fitted x4 non run flat tyres as a requirement of the sale. I had not come across Nexen previously but after 25000 trouble free miles I have been pleased with their overall performance. When compared to the OEM tyres fitted to my previous 520d I found the ride to be more comfortable and no loss of wet/dry grip or fuel economy. The rears are due for a change so I will look at Nexen brand again.

When I bought my Fiesta ST180, it had a full set of these Nexens on the car. When I checked it over at the dealer, and being a mechanic, im not scared to look under the car. Upon doing so, I saw the inside front tyre had side wall splits. These where easily 2-4 inches in length. (Bare this in mind)

I bought the car, but told the dealer about the tyre. I asked for a MOT as well, and Ill buy the car no quibbles.

Ive had the car 5 years. And only used these tyres to keep it all matching at the same. The grip levels dry and wet are fair. How ever during the colder months the car likes to wheel spin in certain inclines, pulling away. And feels very pushy.

Ive even took these tyres on a track day. I was surprised with the fair performance again, They like to edge wear a fair bit I find.

Now to my MAJOR gripe with this tyre. In the 5 years ive owned this car. Ive put NINE tyres on it. I think two tyres where replaced due to wear. The rest where due to the sidewalls splitting on the inside. Upon googling, you will find lots of other people suffering from the same. Ive not driven the tyres flat. They just seem to suffer from British roads a little too badly I find. I do try to avoid pot holes and ruts as best as possible. But it seems the build quality of these tyres are just so poor, you could probably sneeze on them and the tyre would split.

Ive seen worse MOT'ing cars. But Ive got a tyre thats 6 months old, with 1-2 inch splits in the side wall on the inside.

Id personally avoid this brand. Im looking into other tyres within my budget, and now just going to replace all 4, and hopefully not need to change tyres again after 6 months.

After 20000 miles and 3 years on my Mondeo ST220, I would not recommend these tyres. Two tyres failed the MOT test after approx 15000 miles with sidewall cracking, at a point where they were dangerous. 5000 miles later, one of the remaining 2 started to delaminate the tread. All 4 have gone now, replaced with Goodyear F1 assymetric 6, far superior all round. The Nexen's grip was distinctly average in the dry, not at all predictable in the wet. Steering feel was poor, just heavy all the time, with no change in weighting. A complete contrast to the Goodyears, where you can feel the road surface change and the weighting vary as the grip leve and cornering speed changes. For comfort and wear they were OK, but seemed to have quite a high rolling resistance. Overall, based on my experience, I would NOT buy again, and considering that 2 had failed after 2 years and 15000 miles, I would consider them dangerous.

Had these on a VW T5 Sportline Transporter 174bhp. Not driven hard.
The tyres were quite noisy, and wear has not been exceptional, however, they have cracked all around the outer edges, inner and outer, on all 4 tyres.
Recommended to me by a trusted tyre dealer that I have used for years, and no reason to disbelieve them.
I would not recommend or buy these again

I have these tyres on a mk3 Audi TT Quattro. Most people slow down in the wet, I felt so confident I speeded up! In the dry they are excellent and almost silent. 69dB that’s 3dB less than Michelin. I have had these since February 2024 and have nad no bad issues with them. Although i have never heard of Nexen until I bought this car with them on already.

Have these tyres on for only a thousand miles. These tyres seem perfectly fine in wet and dry conditions, there is a noticeable difference in tyre noise compared to the old Goodyear that was previously on the car. Cannot comment on wear this early.

My BMW 520 i F10 already had Continental Premiuncontact 3 runflat (SSR) about 5 years ago. They were already in a position to change due to wear and tear, perhaps it could have driven about 10,000 km more, but I preferred to change them and decided on the NEXEN Nfera SU1 and the change was total.
Much smoother and quieter than the Continentals, my driving is in the city and on the highway from time to time and the comfort is much better, 100% recommended, plus its price has nothing to do with the Continentals, the value of the NEXEN in Chile At least it is 50% of the value of the Continental.
I am very happy and satisfied, I recommend them.
