175/70 13 Tyre Review Highlights

Sava PERFECTA rated 41% while driving a Fiat Panda
Driving on mostly town for 10000 average miles
In the beginning they were okay on the dry and average on the wet. A year after that they were horrible on the wet. ABS was working overtime and I was losing traction even driving 10km/h on a roundabout. They haven't weared at all to be honest but that's because they don't have any friction with the road. I changed them after I almost crashed on a curb. Should definitely be banned.

Uniroyal RainExpert 3 rated 100% while driving a Nissan SUNNY
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
Excellent tyres. I got these as a birthday gift, believe it or not, last year and they absolutely changed the ride and handling characteristics on my Sunny for the better. I always knew with a good set of tyres it will be a good handling, quiet and comfortable car, but I was totally shocked when I fitted these. The wet/damp grip is phenomenal, the best I've had so far. In these conditions, they really do shine. There is no squealing or loss of traction, even with some fairly quick and less forgiving getaways from junctions. Even when you give it a little more around a corner, the cars feels like it's on rails. I feel very safe using these in the rain. I really enjoy driving in damp conditions now, as the tyres really show their worth. I think the designers at Uniroyal hit the nail on the head. The dry grip is honestly amazing too, but they seem a little more at home in the damp, which is more often than it is dry in the UK and most of Northern Europe. There are no traction issues in the dry and I can rarely get these to squeal, even when I do dump the clutch a bit to get going. It still handles like it's on rails in the dry and the traction is perfect. The road noise generated from these tyres is pretty low and they offer nice comfort too. Before my car had cheap nasty tyres with very soft sidewalls. The ride was bumpy and very unsettled sometimes. Now it is smooth and made the car even more comfortable than it already was (reasonably forgiving suspension, comfy seats). They have lasted me a good while now and are still in great shape. Nowhere near the halfway mark yet! For the price, you really can't get anything better. I have family who now use Uniroyal and say the same thing, a little cheaper than the big boys, but keeps them humbled.

Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 rated 77% while driving a Mazda 323F BG 1.8
Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 spirited miles
Fitted these tyres when I bought my car as the tyres that were on it were 20 years old. Bought these tyres as they were the only one with a H speed rating for this tyre size instead of a T rating. I must say that I'm quite happy with them. I have driven them in varying conditions, from warm summer days to heavy downpour and frost (no snow or ice, at max a little patch of ice due to frost, but no whole layers). I have never noticed any sort of grip loss. The tyre communicates quite well when you have reached their limits, even tho you reach that limit quite fast in corners, but that's perhaps also due to the tyre size, in that they don't have a lot of width. Which is why I bought a new set of rims on which I am going to fit another set of Hankooks, but this time, as this size has more choice, an actual performance tyre (ventus v12 evo2). I love driving on the limit and so I'm hoping to get more out of it with wider rims and actual performance tyres, which these weren't. Tho I must say it hurts a little because even after 1.5 years and about 10000 kms they still look new. So overall I would recommend this tyre for this tyresize, they have been splendid.

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 90% while driving a Honda Civic
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
Very good grip in both dry and wet roads. The only tyre that I haven't felt any loss of traction when driving on wet roads. It has only lost traction when I did it on purpose to test the limits and it wasn't easy. Very comfortable and soft ride with no noises. It's been a year that I'm driving on these tyres and they don't look to have worn out at all although I see some small cracks on the edges of the front tyres mainly due to the scorching summer heat. All in all I would definitely buy them again. Never have I found a tyre with so good grip on wet roads.

Yokohama BluEarth Es ES32 rated 83% while driving a Opel Corsa
Driving on mostly town for 2 easy going miles
This 1996 Opel Corsa has had many tyres and these are the best. They have very good dry grip (very little use in the wet) and are exceptionally quiet and comfortable. The car isn't driven very hard but the control is perfect and they give complete confidence. Much better than some awful - almost dangerous tyres the car had in the past. Basically super tyres in this unusual size.

Habilead ComfortMax AS H202 rated 71% while driving a Toyota Corolla
Driving on a combination of roads for 13500 spirited miles
For budget Tyres, these exceeded expectations. Whiles they were not the most comfortable on uneven pavement, the feedback they provided was acceptable. Dry grip had me all smiles as I was not able to over come their limit while going 100km+ around bends. The level of Wet grip gave a false sensation that the road was dry until you brake hard, but even then, they were still able to grip great under wet and dry braking. For the price and performance I was able to extract while driving 13000+ Miles on these Tyres I wouldn't hesitate to buy again

Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact rated 66% while driving a Renault Clio 1.2 8v 60hp
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 average miles
found them on my car almost new, cannot say i was impressed, especially when it was time to change them, not worth the money foun better tyre with less money, goodyear is an outdated tyre and not so good in the wet, may fit goodyear only if they change the tyre with a new one with good ratings in the rain

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 average miles
bought my car second hand it had four goodyear tyres, with one year old stamp and looked new, it was ok but not on rainy days, after researching in this page found that falken is top of the list, over one year with falken fitted i am vert happy with them on the road in all conditions, i think they are not so fuel efficient as goodyear but i do not care as i prefer safety first .. yes i will buy again, value for money

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 93% while driving a Kia Motors Rio
Driving on mostly town for 6000 average miles
cannot say falken is cheap, but it is a very good tyre better than my goodyear i had they are better in all ways the only diffrance is that they are not so comfortable (soft) on the road but they do grip on dry and wet roads, they do not work well in very little snow, i mostly change tyres by age, i never wear out tyres as i ride a motocycle, if they last over 5 years and do not crack they would be better than expensive brands
