Volkswagen %28B8%29 1.4 TSI %28150 Hp%29 DSG ACT Tyre Review Highlights
Compared to the previous tires on the car, Lexani UHP207, absolutely a dream. There was a bit more road noise but for the benefit in everything else it was great. Bite could be better but the mid corner grip is amazing. When they reach the limit the tires will let you know, but not as loudly as other tires. The feel is good but it could be better. Wonderful to daily and would buy again but I did get mine used with 500 miles on them for almost a 1/3 of retail price. At full price I'm not sure if its the best tire, but if you can get a set for under $700 with little to no miles in a size similar to mine then I fully believe they are worth the upgrade. Especially if you're coming from a lower tier tire company.

Just had them fitted on my Polo 1.0 TSI and they are amazing! This is a good year/conti level tyre at a much lower price, the car feels like it did when it was new on the Falkens it left the showroom floor with

Had them on for 4 years with a safe/relaxed driving style. Very happy as they are very quiet and comfortable. Handling just fine on dry road, I have read many comments on wet road that they do not perform at the highest level, but with my relaxed driving style I never encountered any problems or aquaplaning. Excellent fuel economy and excellent wear as usual from Michelin.

Compared to my previous Ventus Prime 2's, the grip is excellent, however ride quality poor - is suitability for (heavy) electric cars caused Hankook to over stiffen the sidewalls? However this may explain the handling and road feedback.

For now the best winter tyres I have owned. Fuel consumption matches the summer tyres or do better.
Drove 8500km in cold conditions. You notice that the tyres are not made for dry asfalt or rain. But they are nordic winter tyres...
Went to the Nordkapp in northern Norway 72⁰ north. And on icy conditions the are great. Many times I was surprised how much traction the tyres gave!
But there were also a few times that I was surprised I was sliding. It happens during moments there was slush on the road and I was sliding on al four wheels with 65/70km/h. Not ideal, going downhill in a corner.
On a other moment when the road was fully covered with a layer of fresh ice the tyres could not handle it either. But I think spike tires on that moment was the only option. The way back we used on the same stretch of road tyre chains.
In general the tyres gave a surprised amount of grip during the whole trip. But during temperatures around 0 with still snow/slush on the road the tyres where not in their element, and you have to take it easy.
About the wear of the tyres, I don't really know yet. I used them about 8500km. But I saw on the front tyres the inside was a little bit cupped, I don't know if it has to do with the alignment with the car, or with the load of the car, or the normal wear. But that is what I have seen yet.

I am giving this review in the third winter of use. I looked for the tires to have characteristics as close as possible to a summer sports tire. They are as expected, after 2 years and ... they are still soft on the road but hard on the sidewall, they have a very good steering response, braking is very good both on dry and wet roads at minus temperatures, but at the same time very tiresome, even the resistance to aquaplaning is very good, the only minus is the traction on snow, but that does not interest me because I avoid icy roads and snow as much as I can because they are salted and I am a maniac with car detailing. I recommend them to everyone except those who are looking for good traction on snow.

I bought these to replace Toyo TR1 on my Golf GTE. I chose them as they are the cheapest ‘famous brand’ tyre in this size. Better than the Toyo in grip, handling and only £7 each more. Had Michelin when I bought the car that were very nearly new, these are close to half the price of the Michelin and honestly nearly as good in normal day to day driving. Would buy again.

I bought an Amarok with a brand new set. I have done 8,000 miles and reckon I will have to change the out at 11,000 miles if not sooner.

Used on 1.5 ton sedan for about 35 000km/22 000 miles now. Note that the actual car is Renault Talisman but I selected Passat as closest thing available size/weight wise
PROS:
- dry feedback/handling - I can do way over speed limit outside of towns (glides through corners at 120km/h even now); you feel a pronounced 'edge' when turning at high speed feeling the limit
- master snow grip - went on not cleaned street and did sharp acceleration, braking, twitching steering wheel left-right; best I got was millllld understeer, VERY safe tire on snow
- wear - just passed my registration/inspection, they still feel 90% like they did when new, it's incredible. Visual inspection shows fronts a bit more worn (torque heavy diesel engine)
- with wear in mind, actually great value. Even though they were a bit more pricey initially, it all gets leveled with time
CONS:
- wet performance is great in straight line (aquaplaning etc.) but is average at best in sharp turns, I once understeered to an incoming lane at 35kph sharp corner during a rainy day
- CC2 went too far towards snow grip which makes it hard for me to recommend the current model

Very dangerous in the wet and I'm not a fast driver
It is a tire that appeals to the general public and can satisfy many people, but we cannot consider it completely good. When passing through a puddle, the vehicle becomes unstable. When cornering at high speed, the car leans sideways and moves out of the lane.
