215/45 R16 Tyre Review Highlights
Writing about the Continental Premium Contact 2
rated 80%
Fitted in October 2021 and they’ve done just over 59,000 miles on the rear of my Seat Ibiza, mainly motorway driving. They’ve worn well and are still at 4.5mm tread, with no vibration or other issues.
They’ve always felt stable and predictable in everyday use. Not the quietest tyres I’ve had, but the noise is perfectly acceptable.
Overall, I’m really pleased with how long they’ve lasted and would happily buy them again.

Fitted to the front of my Seat Ibiza in July 2022 and covered just over 38,000 mainly motorway miles. They felt stable and secure in everyday driving, with good grip and comfort.
At around 4.5mm tread depth both tyres developed a vibration at about 30mph. After swapping them to the rear, the vibration moved from the steering wheel to the seat, which points to tyre deformation.
They delivered decent mileage and were generally good to drive on, but developing a structural issue before they were properly worn out was disappointing — especially as the Continentals on the rear have lasted longer without any problems.

Very good steering feel and handling. These feel more like a good all season or summer tire than a winter tire, none of the mushy feeling you get with Blizzaks. Did quite well in the snow, had some slides on ice but you can only expect so much from a non-studded tire.

This is a sporty road tyre with a track tyre pattern, not a track tyre. Once this is taken into account, these are very good.
I did quite a few track days with them, and they still have plenty of life left. The wear pattern is even across the tire.
The car feels very balanced, the dry grip is very good, and the wet grip is good as well, quite surprisingly.
These tyres are much more suitable for track use than other "standard" UHP tyres I've owned in the past and are perfectly suitable for daily use. I hadn't noticed any excessive noise of anything of this sort.

Writing about the Nokian WetProof
rated 94%
Tyres lasted from June 2020 to January 2025, total of 54,727 miles. They were on FWD hatchback and I rotated tyres on average every 6 months. Amazing tyres in wet, never had to back off going into corners. That 54K miles was even mix of motorway and national/regional roads.

I would definitely not recommend this tyre unless you drive at snail speed in the dry with a car that has little power. The front lets go on cornering in the wet, with little warning. Bought a pre-owned Audi A1 with them on, and was it not for the car's handling capability and safety features and my driving experience and skill, these tyres would have had me in trouble

Writing about the Davanti DX390
rated 100%
A cheap tyre that went way above expectation. 28.000 miles / 45.000 km in 3 years and surely unhappy that they are not available any more. The price back then was 240 euros for 4 pieces. Miles driven on highways at usual speeds around 150km/h and on soil/village roads. Due to low profile the tyre pressure was usually at around 38-40 psi as recommended by the tyre shop, not 34. They never slided when sudden braking occurred or given the sense of losing control/grip. Good grip both on wet and dry road. Previous tyres were dunlop and Bridgestone, didn't last so long dunlops were double priced and Bridgestones 50% more expensive.

Very pleased with performance in a wide range of circumstances. Living in UK North East had our first snow and ice since these tyres fitted and well pleased. Progressive breakaway In dry, wet, ice and snow. Not a summer tyre so response perhaps little soft but still good enough for what they are. Definitely would buy again

Dry grip is phenomenal, wet grip is better than expected. But the noise is unbearable
