Slight spin on boost 1st gear compared to Mickey ET Street(no spin, rolls- not launches). Better than R888R(spins 1st + 2nd + slight 3rd since day1. Won't get r888r ever again. AR1 definitely grips very well. finally back in control after 2 years of horrid r888r. Just bought last week. Turning feels great but I'm no circuit expert. Used to have slight oversteer before now it's perfect.

Worst tyres I've ever used! They deformed after 10.000km (2 seasons) of use and now they will go straight to the garbage - the car shakes. Shame on you, Nokian!

A good mid range tyre which I would describe as a slightly softer touring tyre. Definitely not a UHP in terms of outright grip. The tyres do everything well for normal daily driving. They perform well in the wet and dry but overall better in the dry. They give a good progressive feel but not the direct feel you might get from a £130 plus tyre in this size. My previous tyres were Pirelli P7 Cintarato which I've moved away from due to tyre wall cracking after only a couple of seasons. My reasoning for selecting the Fulda was overall good reviews across multiple review websites, price, made in Germany (and they are, which for some reason I find reassuring), specification (95Y) which tells me the carcass will be robust and tyre walls perhaps a little stiffer than 91's. Fulda has also been in business for many, many years so they must be doing something right. The way I figure it if I have paid less than £100 each fitted and get a couple of seasons I'm happy. With the Pirellis currently at £150 each I don't fancy taking the risk again. It was also great to see a side wall protector which is rare at this price point.
Comparing the two brands I would say the Fulda Sport Control 2 are quieter, made of a softer rubber compound, and more comfortable. The Pirelli's I have no doubt last much longer (harder rubber compound) and perhaps have a slight edge in the wet even though the Fulda's are labelled to be better. The Pirelli's also have the edge in terms of road feedback, break away communication and tyre sidewall design. Pound for pound I am happy with my decision. The difference between the two is not great enough to warrant the extra expense and for mainly local commuting they will be just fine. Also, having spent less I can afford to get fresh tyres every couple of years which will always be better than older rubber. I can't comment on wear as they have not been fitted for long.

Good tyre but wears fast. Have had Goodyear Asymmetric 6 for 20000km and rears are done. Uniroyal Rainsport 5 lasted for 33000km. So, compared to those Goodyears wear very badly and Uniroyals are considered high wearing tyre.
That said wear is about only negative. Tyres are quiet, have really good grip and fast and communicative turn in.

245/40 R17 on the rear of my 2014 Mercedes C300 are the noisiest tires I have ever ridden on. There appears to be no cupping or uneven wear. I can’t tell if the front tires (225/45R17) are noisy or not-no unusual wear on them either. I specifically bought these because of reviews saying they were quiet. I would never buy these tires again. They have about 10,000 miles, were not too noisy at first, but are terrible now. 35 mph and above is excruciating.

Just bought 4 new tyres and I can tell these tires have way more grip then my old secondhand ones that I was driving around on. Definitely feel more secure and confident with these under the car. Would love to try the premium contact 7 against these however they were unavailable for my rear set.

I bought these after about a month of searching for 245 wide tires that won't explose my budget, since I wanted some more meat under my BRZ. The sidewall feels softer than my previous set, but it's probably only due to the increased size (going from 215 on a 7in to a 245 on a 9in). Overall the tire has great grip, wether its cold, warm or wet. Tried a single session on them at a local racetrack, and they held very well! No understeer or oversteer even after pushing. I do have a slightly aggressive alignment, which may help. Overall its a great tire for a fun daily driver, maybe not as good as the top dogs in the UHP category, hopefully after some more miles they still shine.

Had original Yoka's on and felt dangerous on the motorway.... changed to the Uniroyal and hey presto all good. However I do have a very small vibration that I cant pin down, seems to get a bit better if I reballance every 12 months.

These tyres were fitted to the rear of a Mercedes CLK 200 Kompressor. It is a staggered set up with 225/45 17 Uniroyal Rainsport 3’s on the front.
All fitted at the same time, but the rears lasted just under 13,000 miles with the fronts still showing plenty of tread. The rears had worn slightly on the insides more, as the tracking was very slightly out.
I wanted tyres where wet grip was the priority. These tyres were fantastic. Quiet, they were compliant, excellent wet grip and aquaplaning resistance. Even in wintry conditions, they were almost as good as an all-season tyre. I was not bothered about the wear rate, and accepted these must be a softer compound.

Tyres have been on the car for a couple of years having been fitted new at Kwik-fit. They have now started to crack where the tread meets the shoulder. They both still have 5mm left. I emailed Pirelli and pretty much got fobbed off. The front did the same after a year. I won't be buying Pirelli again.

Not very good in wet, car torque steers a lot with them and cant put any power down. No real feel through them but were a large profile.
