Honda Jazz Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the GT Radial FE1 City given 68% (185-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
I have travelled 5000 summer miles in my (used) Honda Jazz on a new set of GT Radial FE1 City. They were fitted by the car dealer as part of the purchase - I did not choose them. Compared to the Michelin Cross Climate 2 that were fitted to my Mk7 Honda Civic I don't feel confident at all in the wet and, even in the dry/damp when 'pushing on' through a series of direction changes in bends, there is a distinct feeling of understeer. They are quiet, and seem robust - having clipped a kerb with no damage - but I am going to replace them with winter tyres because temperatures where I live will be below 10 deg C for months, and snow/ice/heavy rain are normal at times in winter.

Writing about the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 given 84% (195-55-16)
Driving on mostly motorways for 300 average miles
The new Hankook tires have only been used for a week, but they already feel smooth and comfortable—soft, with minimal road noise and low vibration. The value for money is excellent

Driving on a combination of roads for 0 miles
very fast tread wear, good handling on corners, good dry performance (almost no skids when i launch the car), average to bad wet performance, it only took 21k kilometers for this tire to wear out, now im hydroplaning on puddles.

Writing about the Autogrip P308 given 44% (175-65-15)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
These came fitted to a Honda Jazz I bought a few months ago. Not bad in the dry, but in cold, wet conditions they are truly dangerous! I would liken them to driving on ball bearings, with little to no grip whatsoever - and all this on a car with hardly a surplus of power! Despite having 6mm of tread on them I have thrown them in the skip - they just aren't worth the risk if you drive any amount in wet conditions.

Writing about the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 given 84% (185-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 47000 average miles
Excellent all round tire for an exceptionally low price compared to the more famous brands, definitely pick this one when the price difference is significant, I would definitely buy it again for my Honda Jazz Hybrid! 75000 km and they still had some life left in them, no relevant drop in wet and dry performance experienced throughout the life. Surprisingly resistant also to high temperatures. I drove between Switzerland, Germany and Italy, very well balanced behaviour and under different conditions such as autobahn speeds at full load, twisty roads under heavy rain, foggy winter highways and city streets.

Writing about the Continental UltraContact given 73% (185-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 spirited miles
UltraContact has excellent comfort and below average noise level. The rolling resistance is great, so it has a fuel-saving character. It has a long-life as the opposite of former Continental products.
Softly designed sidewall and sholder provides comfort but they causes some disadvantages about handling. While hard cornering in the limits, the tyre tends to roll onto its sidewall. This situation causes the handling reduction and completely loss of steering feedback. Even on daily drive, it has a numb steering feeling.
It has great wet and dry braking performance. Its aquaplanning performance is good as well.

Writing about the Yokohama BluEarth Es ES32 given 86% (195-60-15)
Driving on mostly town for 42000 easy going miles
I’m using these tyres on my Honda Jazz — admittedly a bit of an overkill for a compact hatchback, but I specifically wanted a wider tyre than the stock 175s. I’ve been extremely pleased with the performance.

For everyday driving, the grip is excellent in both dry and wet conditions — surprisingly, it performs even better in the wet. It handles puddles effortlessly, and the car feels stable and planted on the road. Braking distances are also impressive.

The ride quality is very comfortable overall. If I had to be picky, the last 3,000 km have been slightly less smooth as the tread wore down, but that’s to be expected.

All things considered, this tyre definitely punches above its weight. Given the car I drive and my driving style, I’d absolutely buy it again.

We are using this tyre nearly 2 years. 20.000 km. 185/55/15

Dry grip: No problem
Wet Grip: No problem
Wear: Enough

This tyre is soft. It has got Shinobi tech. Unbeliveable comfort. Noise is minimum level. I will buy for honda jazz again. If you are looking silince and comfort, this tyre is best.

Writing about the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE004 given 79% (195-55-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 18600 average miles
I am a driver who occasionally drives aggressively on city roads, and I was pleasantly surprised by the response it gave me. The performance on dry roads was outstanding, and I could confidently push the limits of every curve on mountain roads. The performance on rainy days/wet roads was also acceptable, and it was not easy to slip. The tires I used before were BFGoodrich's Advantage Touring 185/60/15, and the difference between the two is really huge! Anyway, in this price range, the RE004 is really a very clear choice

Writing about the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 given 78% (185-55-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 38000 average miles
Extremely well performing tire in all conditions, if you don't push it too hard (especially when the temperatures are in the 30s). They're a very good fit for my Hybrid Jazz, that I drive in Swiss weather all year long; lots of wet and cold don't make the tires feel unsafe in any circumstance; even snow performance is acceptable. The noise levels are also quite good, and the wear is surprisingly low without much of an ageing effect of the rubber. I am now at 38000 miles and there is still quite a lot of tread available. Considering the price of this tire is at least 30% lower than the premium brands (Bridgestone, Michelin...) and that for my car Pirelli and Continental are not available, I am finding it very hard to buy another tire for my car! Exceptional tire for the price.
