Wear: These had excellent wear
Wet Grip: Very good in wet weather especially sleet.
Only had Snow here in Tun Wells for a few days back in 2023 but boy did the tyres help out! I had them fitted on the car for most of the year and I would say they were almost an All Seasons Tyre as they performed very well in Summer 2022 and did not seem to wear.
Sadly, my lovely Polo 1.9TDI got written off and was taken away.
Would fit new ones again to my Yaris if we have a bad winter.

unfortunately the pattern on the Toyo Proxes CF2 pick up and follow grooves in the road which is especially dangerous on a motorways when they've been cutting in new sections of road with old. the tyre wear was also quite poor with feathering on the outer edges too. the initial 10k was on the rear (Fiestas don't wear the rears) and about 11k on the front. had the tracking checked but no issues.
I've now got Kumho Ecsta HS52 195/55/15 on all 4 corners which is a better tyre in every aspect - they are supposed to be a little noisier but we can't tell any difference, fuel economy and wet grip is about the same but dry grip is somewhat better and there's no nasties either.

It is the least sporty kumho tire i have fitted... the Ecsta MX, Ecsta KU31 and Ecsta PS31 are much better performers than this one, as expected the tire performance degraded dramatically near its end of life... typical kumho tire behavior but it is the least impressive of the lot i tried
I bought these tires to replace a set of Pirelli Phantoms. Compared to the Phantoms, I noticed a slight loss in both grip and ride comfort. However, they still offer very good traction in both dry and wet conditions.
The compound is on the harder side, so the ride feels firmer and you can definitely notice it. On the other hand, the steering feedback is excellent, making the car feel precise and predictable.
Overall, they're a solid choice for daily driving and spirited driving, offering a good balance of performance, safety, and durability.
Had these on my Smart since 2021. Excellent wet braking, i don't recall ever sliding or hydroplaning under hard braking. Dry performance is also solid but i never took them to a track, so i don't really know how they perform at the limit.
Unfortunately one of my tires developed a bubble on the sidewall so i had to replace 2 of them (That being said the potholes here in Serbia can be horrible). But im still running the remaining two with plenty of tread left (5mm) and no dry rot.
One thing i would like to highlight is their excellent performance in low temperatures (0-5° C) as i run them from middle March to late November as my summer set
I had an issue with my suspension spring that had broken and dug into my old tyre and took my car to a local garage who told me the spring had damaged the inside wall of my old tyre, they said they'd fit a new tyre but didn't specify the make and charged premium price for a pair of these LS388's and at first I wasn't really bothered. I noticed after a week of driving the grip wasn't right especially cornering or on roundabouts and in rain it was even worse with stopping they just don't want to grip. I still have them fitted for the time being but am going to change them shortly towards the end of summer for a premium tyre brand and all season as these just feel dangerous to drive with and I don't even drive a fast car.
I ended up with the r1r because the larger rubber blocks on the inside of the tire really makes a huge difference in stability on the rear with the smart car having I thing a -3° camber in the back. I put 11.5k miles on in 3 years driving year around in the PNW. Tires were confident building on the street and was able to get to a pace in the dry that the tires started to get a little greasy. And in the wet, cold and with wet leafs these r1r cut through like butter… I was quite surprised that the wet traction felt close to the dry. The tread pattern also did decent in the snow, never did get stuck. Towards the end and getting close to the wear bars, the tires did start stepping out on me and less predictable in the wet. These tires were on the car sitting outside for 3 years in all the weather being driving weekly. So yes, they were definitely weather abused. I had these 195’s on 5.5” rims and the tires are too wide but I can’t find any quality 185 tires. So these are a bit pinched in. I’m sure they were be even better on a proper setup.
