The best rated tyres for the Ford Fiesta

Rated only by drivers of this car. Each tyre needs at least 3 reviews from the Ford Fiesta to be ranked; the order weights a tyre's score by how many reviews back it, so one glowing review cannot top a table.

Fitment comes from each tyre's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tyres last on the Ford Fiesta?

Across 89 end of life reviews from Ford Fiesta drivers, a typical set of tyres was worn out after 18,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 10,000 miles and 30,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

Every tyre reviewed on the Ford Fiesta

The complete record, including discontinued tyres and tyres with too few reviews to rank, ordered by the amount of evidence. A further 169 tyres have a single review each; they count toward the totals but are not listed.

Toyo Proxes CF2 195-50-15 Ford Fiesta 20,531 miles October 20, 2026

unfortunately the pattern on the Toyo Proxes CF2 pick up and follow grooves in the road which is especially dangerous on a motorways when they've been cutting in new sections of road with old. the tyre wear was also quite poor with feathering on the outer edges too. the initial 10k was on the rear (Fiestas don't wear the rears) and about 11k on the front. had the tracking checked but no issues.
I've now got Kumho Ecsta HS52 195/55/15 on all 4 corners which is a better tyre in every aspect - they are supposed to be a little noisier but we can't tell any difference, fuel economy and wet grip is about the same but dry grip is somewhat better and there's no nasties either.

Firemax FM601 205-45-17 Ford Fiesta Titanium X Turbo MHEV A 17,000 miles October 15, 2026

After reading the reviews on these tyres, which are mostly negative, I must say I did not experienced any drama on any road surfaces in the dry or in the wet. The Firemax were fitted (new) when I purchased the car from Furrows, they are quiet both in town and on the motorway, I drive safely and respect speed signs and average 47 miles per gallon, for me, the worst aspect is wear, only 17000 miles driven and the front tyres are worn out to the 1.6 legal limit while the rear tyres still have some tread, I will not buy these budget tyres again. I will put the Falken ZIEX ZE320 on the car since they have excellent reviews and are very well priced, I will review the Falken after I drove a few thousands miles.

Kumho Ecowing ES01 KH27 175-65-14 Ford Fiesta 6,214 miles October 11, 2026

Really ideal on wet surfaces but I can't say it's resistant to potholes. The inner sidewall of my tire cracked. It cost me a lot. Other than that, I'm satisfied.

Michelin CrossClimate+ 175-65-14 Ford Fiesta Mk7.5 35,000 miles October 4, 2026

The tire performs excellently in all conditions except on ice and packed snow. It was solid for the first two winters, started to lose performance by the third, and by the fourth winter, I didn't feel very confident on snow and ice. However, it is excellent in rain, slush, and dry conditions. After 57,000 km, the tread depth is still 5.2 mm and 4.2 mm; I didn't rotate them regularly. If it were just a bit better on snow and ice, I wouldn't even consider another option.

I cannot recommend these tyres they are terrible on life span, maybe the worst ever in 50 years driving, sidewall cracked and fell apart after two years exposing cords , tred depth fine
Had six tyres in total all of them went the same way tried to claim under warranty but Mr Tyre would have none of it and said it was normal perished due to winter ect , never ever again will I use these tyres or Mr Tyres.

Kumho Ecsta Sport PS72 205-40-17 Ford Fiesta ST 10,000 miles September 16, 2026

I put these tires on my Fiesta ST to replace worn and old Pirelli P Zero Nero on the back, and viking pro tech newgen on the front. I bought the car with these mismatched tires.

The Kumhos offer excellent dry and wet grip, okay comfort for a 40 sidewall. Still too jiggly for my liking, but that is not the tire's fault. Progressiveness at the limit dry and wet is amazing, very easy to correct, if you get it to break loose at all. You really have to throw the car into a sharp corner to get the back to come around. When you do, you feel the sidewall flex quite a bit, and then the tire progressively lets go. On my Fiesta ST, the car will also lift the inside rear wheel quite easily like this.

At Autoslalom (AutoX), the tire shows its soft carcass even more. I experienced a lot of low speed understeer, and the tire showed clear marks of rolling onto the sidewall multiple centimeters. The outer tread blocks showed diagonal wear on the outer edges of the blocks.

While the tire is great for grip and progressiveness, and noise isn't too intrusive, I am disappointed in the soft sidewall on this 40 series tire. Steering feel isn't great due to this either. To me this tire feels like a very good daily driver with buckets of grip, but without a real sporty edge at the limit.

Falken Azenis FK520 225-45-17 Ford Fiesta ST200 18,000 miles September 12, 2026

Tyres didn’t quite last as long as I would have liked. Slightly numb on the steering. I changed to Eagle F1s and they are much better in the wet and feedback. But they were a lot more money. So if I’m looking to save again. Falkens will be more than fine

Maxxis Premitra HP6 215-45-17 Ford Fiesta ST Line 140 20,000 miles September 5, 2026

Tires are spongy, imprecise, indirect, and very unsporty on dry roads. They are quiet and save fuel. In wet conditions, they are average and completely okay. Despite AAA and BMW * approval, they do not fit a sporty front-wheel drive car like a Fiesta MH 155 HP. Very affordable and completely fine for everyday use. Sportiness compared to Continental PremiumContact 6 or Bridgestone Potenza Sport is non-existent.

Hankook Ventus Evo 205-40-18 Ford Fiesta ST MK8 10,000 miles September 3, 2026

One year and approx. 10.000 miles later, the Hankooks are still unbeleivable. Mega grip in wet and dry conditions still much better then the Michelin's, in the winter I have use other tyres. Comfort wise, noise is still lesser then the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, the ride is not as good as the Michelin's but still very good, as far a 18" 40 series tyr can be comfortable.
The wear is as far as it looks until now better then the Michelin's too.

Review Your Tyres

Where this data comes from

Every rating on this page was submitted by a driver through the review form on this site, naming the car, the tyre, the size and the distance covered. Reviews are checked by hand before publication, and the page rebuilds automatically as new ones arrive.

About the TR Score

The Tyre Reviews Score rates each tyre out of 10 using independent test results and the full body of owner reviews, so you can check a car-specific ranking against the wider evidence.

Who does the testing

Every test published as a Tyre Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tyres independently since 2007.
