Personenkraftwagen Sommer High Performance Tyres Tyre Review Highlights
On Honda 2014 Stepwagon, 4 brand new tyres May 2025. Very disappointing tyre, noisy, poor grip, uncomfortable handling and front tyres are already 80% worn after 4000 miles!! Had Davanti on previous Stepwagon 2012, also a budget tyre, wish I had these on my Honda in stead of these Linglongs

Been running three sets of these tyres in 17" and 18" over the years. What I have found after aprox 50000 km is:

Wet grip is excellent when the tyres are new, but starts degrading quickly after 10000 km or so. Wet grip becomes very unpredictable after that, and sometimes it's down right scary with oversteer situations out of the blue.

Dry grip is OK. However they are mushy when new due to the soft compound, resulting in a vague feel. Once they wear down to about 60-70% they feel like different tyres.

Two of three sets have developed structural issues with the belts separating after wearing down to 40-50%. I would NOT buy these again and I don't advice anyone to buy them. It's a big safety concern. Value isn't great either when they fail before you can wear them down.

Grip was awful, couldn't hook for anything. The wear was very slow though.

1997 tercel with full poly bushed suspension, these tires have soft sidewalls so steering felt very vague, on the rain it understeered if i pushed it, after they went out i got some petlas pt525 progreen and even those had way better steering response than the acceleras, but for the budget you cannot ask more

Absolutely horrible tread wear. This tire claims 30000 mile tread wear warranty, but tires are bald after 9K miles and Epi Tyre/Accelera refuses to honor their warranty. The 30K mile warranty is a total fraud, it is just there to draw buyer's in, they never honor it as also stated by other reviewers. No reason to buy cheap tires if have to replace it 3x more often.

Despite the unusual first-season slipperiness, the Riken UHP develops into a reliable and capable tire. I was satisfied with its performance, and in terms of price-to-value, it’s absolutely worth it.

My previous tyres were Pirelli PZ4 which were awful/noisy/slippery, as you felt/heard every bit of road noise, unless driven on smooth tarmac.
The Kormoran KO Summer3 XL are much more superior. 'B rated' fuel/wet grip, great handling performance, smoother, quieter with excellent wet/dry braking and minimal tyre wear so far.
Definitely recommend these tyres or even Saillun Altrezzo if on offer!

Had these put on as needed tyres cheap as two of mine had split thanks to a pot hole, honestly expected nothing great but over 12k miles and 3 where still able to be used but binned the lot as had winter tyres put on. Handle well on dry roads and even Nürburgring over two laps, yes they started to let go after two laps but for a budget tyre they did great. Wet grip overall is great but noticed a few times on manhole covers they likes to slide so tried to avoid them from that moment onwards. Nobody mentioned if the ride of car had changed in anyway from the Micheline Crossclimates. Did notice a little increase in fuel consumption but nothing that worried me as I was still getting well over 550 miles to a 50L tank

just bought these Tires on a friend's advice, replacing my previous yokohama set.
found amazing tires, excellent wet performance, very smooth driving.
felt more comfortable than my previous yoko's,
would highly recommend

These came already fitted to second hand car so can't comment too much on longevity. Fine in the dry but downright dangerous in wet / cold and break loose very easily. Car is tracking fine and tyres around 70% tread left so should be still okay. I couldn't recommend these purely on safety I have had budget tyres before (Tourador, i-Link) and never felt unsafe driving on them. I think I will be replacing them before they wear out.

Maxxis MA iPro Victra iPro
— rated 73%
while driving a Mitsubishi lancer gt · Driving on mostly country roads
I previously used Michelin PS4 tires. The PS4’s performance is indeed better, but the iPro is very affordable. Since my car is a manual, the PS4 never caused front-wheel slip, whereas with the iPro I’ve experienced slight front-wheel slip a few times. That said, the handling is actually really good.

Tomket Sport Series 1
— rated 73%
while driving a Suzuki vitara s 1,4 boosterjet · Driving on mostly country roads
for 15000 average miles
I’ve had a pair of these on our vitara for the last two years and have no complaints. They are on the back of the car so can’t rate them for how they feel on steering, but grip on the rear of the car has been fine (admittedly it’s no race car). The only negative comment I could make is that they do appear to be wearing relatively quickly. On about 15k and they are probably 70% worn.
