Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 rated 87% while driving a Toyota Veloz 1.500cc
Driving on mostly motorways for 72000 average miles
Goodyear assurance triple max 2 is very good reason as below,
1. Superb dry grip, few times emergency brake, car stopped nicely even no sound from the tires was heard due to hard breaking.
2. Excellent wet grip , no much different for tyre grip during dry or wet.
3. Perfect Aqua planing resistant, the car break away water perfectly, car can be maneuvered confidently when tires hits water ponding even during cornering. I can drive much faster in highway during rain compared to other car , differences is very obvious .
4. Long lasting , my car hits 120,000 km in 3 years with this tires and the grip still superb . No crack observed on tires , tires tread < 50%, I forecast at least can used up to 150,000 km .
5. Hard side wall, give good control during cornering or cornering on uneven road .
6. Cheapest among all branded tires in the same class. Based on my research , at least 10%-15% cheaper compared to continental, Michelin or Bridgestone.
7. Noise is just average , not too loud, but little noisy compared to other big brand tyre . But still in acceptable level
8. Lack of comfort , Due to hard side wall these tyre sacrifice on comfort a little bit but still within acceptable level .

Hankook Ventus Prime 4 rated 89% while driving a Honda BRV
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
Get this fullset new tyre replace my old tyre Michelin Primacy 3ST in Feb 2024...this new model tyre from Hankook are really something...this tyre perform well in my country with hot weather (tropical) and heavy rain...quiet, comfy, good rolling resistance, most important is it have good balance tyre and no vibration in low speed or high speed..push hard in curve/twisty road with no problem in dry grip..already test speeding at highway in rainy day, speeding 14+ kmh car is very stable.. i personally feel this tyre perform very well and good compare to previous tyre i used (Michelin Primacy 3ST)...definitely will buy this set Hankook Ventus Prime 4 again..

Michelin Energy Saver 4 rated 83% while driving a Subaru 04 baja
Driving on mostly country roads for 500 spirited miles
I'm reviewing it base on it price and other interchangeable tires.
My tires were 145/80r12 to begin with, Yokohama Job, RY52 with 8000km. A decent truck eco tire.
Car is Subaru Sambar van, a rebadged Daihatsu Hijet cargo.

I'm reviewing with all traction control and stability control off.
Dry grip, is way better. With the RY52, rear slides when I wanted it to. With Energy saver4, it just won't slide even I give full gas out of a tight corner. This van doesn't have enough power to power slide Energy saver4 on high grip surface.
Wet grip, is also better but mostly in lateral grip. RY52 have very good vertical grip ( accelerate and decelerate ). I haven't try to slide it yet in wet surface.

Feed back, is surprisingly out of my expectation. Best tire pressure for RY52 is F/R: 45/45 psi. For Energy saver is F/R: 45/48 psi.
RY52 have a larger range of tire pressure that can be driven, Front pressure is good from 42-45. Rear is good from 40-50. With 50PSI in the rear, I do feel a bit on the edge in the wet.
Energy saver4 however, is very tricky to set tire pressure.
Front can not be lower than 45. There will be no feed back. Rear can not be higher than 48, it will produce lots of noise.
Rear is best setting at 45 (or lower) but with F/R both 45, the car wants to understeer. Therefore I've settled with F 45. R 48.
Another thing is RY52 have way better handling feed back mid corner. I feel every bit of the tire, with Energy saver4, I know the general direction but not which part of the tire is gripping exactly. I don't think Energy Saver4 is to blame here, since RY52 is super hard LT tire.

Handling, it's higher than the testing vehicle. I'm at jail speed with 53 horse power on all the route ( mountain and twisting ) with +30km/hr faster than RY52, still I'm only afraid of the van rolling over , and not even a squeak heard. I don't think this van needs better grip than Energy saver.

Comfort, is something that you instantly feel, I feel it, my wife feels it. It way quieter and softer than RY52. I would say this aspect is what most people feels.

Finally, fuel economy. The wheel + tire set up is 6kg heavier per corner (12 to 14, RY52 to Energy saver), which is 24kg heavier for four wheels.
It is a lot heavier. In the stop and go city, fuel economy drops 1-2%. On mountain road it's within margin of error ( Screen shows better). On 60-90km/hr highway, it is 3-5% better.
There is no other way around the weight. During stop and go, you need more energy. During climbing, you need more energy.
But the eco compound that Michelin uses does provide lower friction therefore the fuel economy haven't worsen.

Falken Sincera SN832 Ecorun rated 99% while driving a Dacia Logan MCV 2
Driving on a combination of roads for 600 average miles
After all the tests read, they are in first place in my opinion, in this size. They are soft tires, with A for wet braking and B for consumption. With these features it is impossible to find something in the premium class. The Tread Wear index is 320, which means a distance of 37,000 km with one set, quite a lot for the characteristics of the tire. First impressions, after about 2 weeks, 600 km.
*Very quiet
* Excellent maneuverability
*Precise direction
*Very good absorption of bumps, including bumpers
*Heavy rain on the highway, just "cut" the water. The ABS didn't come in either wet or dry.
*Decreased the car's average fuel consumption after changing winter tires by 0.1l without reset.

Hankook Ventus Prime 4 rated 95% while driving a Hyundai Ioniq
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
The tires were bought new this year. It may be a little early for a concrete test and description, but still...the tires "behave" fantastically. The grip is excellent (even now, when it's 4 degrees in the morning). They are quiet and relatively comfortable. Road feedback is perfect (unlike the previous GYs). For once, the "fuel" consumption is quite high compared to the previous tires (GY EP2) (about 20% higher), but time will tell when they are a little more worn (rolling resistance of new ones) and warmer outside - EV is particularly "sensitive" here (rolling resistance)! In summary, an extremely good tire for a very very good price. I would definitely buy it again!

Michelin Primacy 4 rated 96% while driving a Volvo V90 D4
Driving on a combination of roads for 1 average miles
Have tried other makes but have not found anything to match Michelin for reliability, performance, safety and longevity.
Best and only tyres on the market for me personally.

Falken ZIEX ZE310 EcoRun rated 76% while driving a Ford Fiesta
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 average miles
Only had these for about 20,000km - but still 5mm tread left.
Very reliable in wet and dry, decent feedback and comfortable as well as decent MPG return - I would definitely buy these again.

Avon ZV7 rated 59% while driving a Ford Mondeo 2.0 ~TDCi Business Ed.
Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 average miles
Seemingly good tyre, let down by premature cracking around the longitudinal grooves.

I have these on a Mondeo, so not the most demanding car. I have checked pressures fairly regularly and never found them along way off the recommended values, but still within a couple of years have found them to be cracking really quite badly along the tyre grooves, to the extent that the carcass is visible at the bottom of the cracks.

The tyres are less than 3 years old, so age shouldn't really be a problem.

Having to replace these when they are less than half worn - so not best pleased. It looks as though I'm not alone if you check in the various motoring forums.

Worst tyre ever, not safe in bad conditions and the tyres crack all the way around which make any puncture repair impossible. Can’t understand why this tyre cracking is not a bigger issue and drivers compensated. And why vw and Audi use them?

An excellent premium tyre at budget prices. Definitely wins on fuel efficiency, low rolling resistance and higher longevity. Sadly, prices aren't as low as they were a couple years ago but they are still excellent value compared to the cheap Chinese brands littering the market in the smaller tyre sizes.
