I have driven around 3000km in the plains of northern Italy with a Polo Aw1 Tsi 95cv, with average temperatures of around 20-22°C.
What I immediately noticed on dry roads is a fairly wide steering dead spot and significant understeer, even at low and moderate speeds. What left me most perplexed is the inconsistency of the steering when cornering (even when compared to the Bridgestone Blizzak I just removed): I don't have a good perception of the contact between the tire and the asphalt, the steering is not very precise, and I can perceive a sensation of floating.
The steering directionality on straight roads is also decidedly less consistent than summer tires (Bridgestone Turanza 001), and even compared to winter tires.
The positive aspect compared to the previous summer tires is the softness in following the bumps in the asphalt that allows for good control.
Overall I think that these All Season Contact 2 are not very suitable for the summer climate of the flat Italian areas, where temperatures easily exceed 35°C, and where temperatures are steadily above 15°C for 8/10 months a year.
In these situations I think that a certain amount of attention is needed when driving with these tires.
I wouldn't buy them again, because already at 20°C I find them unsafe when cornering and braking. I think I'll test them a bit more now to see how they behave as temperatures rise, but I'll probably replace them with summer ones before the high temperatures arrive.

bought these tyres because they had an excelent price and this size is very expensive compared to other sizes and the tyre shop i go to recommended them as very sporty tyre but i was dessapointed by the feedback and the handling characteristics although the grip is very very good the way it handles is very spongy and really doesnt like to be pushed on the corners the sidewall folds way to much i have two different tyres fitted on the same car previous to these the one the car came from the dealership a yokohama bluearth not sure wich one exactly it was very good tyre and then switched to vredestein sportrac 5 fitted them twice in my opinion the best tyre i have drove on not the grippiest but the handling and roadfeedback where top notch so in conclusion if you want the rainsport 5 because of its price and you want just a very good and safe tyre to drive around sure if you are looking for something like me avoid it and maybe go for something like the falken 320 that i heard so many good words for the only reason i did not go for this myself it was the price

Had them on my company car for 2 warm seasons. They wore a lot on the outside belt. The car understeered noticeably.

I had the tyres fitted to my company car for 3 winters. They were mediocre and wore the exterior belts quite quick.

I've read several reviews here and I don't think they are thst bad. In my experience, DX390 has better safety reserve than Bridgestone Turanza T005. Better stability in corners (Turanzas let go much sooner than DX) and decent wet performance .
The downside is the noise. Turanza is much quieter than dx.

I am back with a winter review,
The tire behaves just fine until around -5 degrees on dry/wet/ asphalt and are good on mud or a little fresh snow.
On old frozen snow however they will get you moving, but you don't feel that the tire grips in any way, these tires will allow you to move slowly in a mostly straight direction. Basically you give a little gas and hope that you move somewhere, every second on snow will sound nerve-wracking - still the traction control will rarely intervene. If there is ice the car will just slide randomly when braking but the tires allow you to always stop. If you keep the speed steady and slow it maintains direction without issues even in tight corners, when you lose control the car just slides and the only thing you can do is to stop it.
My car is RWD and I wouldn't really dare to go up a large hill with snow/ice with these tires unless absolutely necessary. The car slides/spins in place whenever one has to go up on an icy/snowy ramp from a full stop. They will get you up the hill if you insist, but if you don't have a lot of space around you will slide left-right and hit the edge of the road.
At around -10 degrees or lower it starts to feel too hard and slides as soon as you hit some gravel with ice/snow on a half cleaned road, brake a little harder and you slide like a sleigh. I don't know if I would want to test these without snow chains/socks at -20 degrees or lower and fully snow covered roads because the lower the temperature the lower the feel of grip in the steering wheel.
TLDR: I won't say it's a bad tire because it will allow you to move and stop just fine if you have space, otherwise the car felt like a sleigh going sideways more than I would have liked. I managed to get up and down on 20-30% ramps with snow, however in very tight spaces I was very lucky that I didn't hit the car because the car slid sideways a lot when braking. You have to also always pay attention when joining a main road from a snowy road, the rear tires will slide sideways.

They will get you up the hill if you insist, but if you don't have a lot of space around you will slide left-right and hit the edge of the road.
At around -10 degrees or lower it starts to feel too hard and slides as soon as you hit some gravel with ice/snow on a half cleaned road, brake a little harder and you slide like a sleigh. I don't know if I would want to test these without snow chains/socks at -20 degrees or lower and fully snow covered roads because the lower the temperature the lower the feel of grip in the steering wheel.
TLDR: I won't say it's a bad tire because it will allow you to move and stop just fine if you have space, otherwise the car felt like a sleigh going sideways more than I would have liked. I managed to get up and down on 20-30% ramps with snow, however in very tight spaces I was very lucky that I didn't hit the car because the car slid sideways a lot when braking. You have to also always pay attention when joining a main road from a snowy road, the rear tires will slide sideways.

I'm back to mention my experience in wet condition. I feel secured with superb grip and brakes. Aquaplaning isn't exist until 80 km/h as well. I'm very satisfied.

I have run Hakkapeliitta 9s on heavier cars with little discernable impact during dry weather. The Mazda MX-5 is particularly affected by these tires compared to its summer tires. I had these tires installed in southeastern USA before driving the car to Alaska in December. They were almost frighteningly loose in the 15 - 20 deg C temperatures of the southeast. As I drove north into Canada and the temperature dropped below freezing, the tires were much better behaved even on dry roads.
I elected not to get the studded versions to minimize noise. I will probably go studded next time or go with a studless design like the Nokian R5 or a Michelin X-Ice. These tires make the MX-5 a decent winter commuter that my wife is comfortable driving year-round.

Recently replaced all four tyres on a 2014 Nissan Note 1.2DIG-S that I have recently acquired. The vehicle previously had a mix of cheap Chinese brand tyres [of which two were quite worn and two had had previous puncture repairs] Used a local independent tyre fitting shop who have good reviews and chose mid-range Falken Ziex ZE320. These appear to be a good mid-range choice [so far] Noise levels are definitely lower and grip/handling in both wet and dry conditions has improved over the previously fitted tyres. I have used these both in normal local driving and some longer distance motorway drives and some driving on rural roads in Devon. Advertised tyre ratings for this tyre are 'C' for fuel economy, 'A' for wet grip and noise levels at 68dB.
As this is an initial review, I haven't commented on wear as it's too early to comment really but I thought it was worth putting up a review as this is a relatively new model of Falken tyre only being released in Summer 2024.

While they have good grip on dry and wet and good fuel consumption, wear is poor. Despite rotation the front is now after less than 15000 miles down to 3mm and back 4mm. Also, one of the tire has a split on the side (I have rather gently hit the kerb but the split is on the opposite side with no sign of external contact at this point) so I need to replace them. As they were fitted to a new car I have not checked the initial tread high, but if indeed it is only 6.5 - this is another reason to avoid them. I suppose, if the initial tread was as on other tyres, they would not wear so quickly.
