195/55 16 Tyre Review Highlights

Dunlop SP Sport FM800 rated 100% while driving a Honda FREED
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
Very good tires. Good grip and short braking distance. Very quiet too and definitely felt lighter than my previous t005 (which were excellent too but 205mm). Cheaper than the bigger brands and so far been very confident with these tyres in wet and dry.

Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 rated 77% while driving a Toyota Celica VVTi 140
Driving on mostly town for 3700 spirited miles
I bought this tyre for my sporty coupe with keeping my country's weather in mind which is moderate winter with very few snowy days and quickly melting snow, so ice and snow was not a priority, yet I encountered heavy snow many times, and the tyre didn't fail, took me up in my steep drive way on first try all the three times I had snow on it, even proved itself against sleet. Great tyre, completely delete the wet road factor, however when its dry and not even that cold it shows its weakness, its not a sport tyre after all, keep that in mind. Wear seems good, but its too early to judge, noise is acceptable, on the same level of my summer sport tyres (GY Eagle F1 Assy.). At this point, I would buy the tyre again, I hope it will last long tho, because in Europe this tyre is very expensive and hard to find in good size.

Pirelli CINTURATO P1 rated 84% while driving a Alfa Romeo MiTo
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 miles
About to fit my second set. Dry grip, comfort, handling and long tyre life are particular strengths. Wet grip is good enough, especially on one occasion a while back when an elderly motorist pulled out of a local garden centre without looking, and I to drop the anchors fast! Thoroughly recommend.

Tested in the northern Estonian climate with heavy snow and -20°C cold. Fantastic tires! Handling in both snow and ice is a whole new level. Recommend!

Avon AS7 Gen 2 rated 88% while driving a Peugeot 207 1.6hdi 9Sport)
Driving on mostly country roads for 17000 miles
I fitted a full set fitted to my winter car (peugeot 207 1.6 hdi) which I use for commuting via the best roads in Wales to work and back each week (115 miles each way via A roads, by roads, twisty roads, wet roads & muddy roads).
The tyres do make the car feel slightly more 'floaty' in the bends but other than that they are awesome tyres and refuse to let go. I've hammered the hell out of these tyres, the rears still look like they were fitted yesterday and the fronts are just on the verge of needing to be changed (12 months & 17k miles).
All in all, very impressive and surprised I managed to get the mileage on the the fronts given they are softer than summer tyres.

These tyres were factory-fitted on my car. There are much better tyres out there with lower price. Not recommended.

Continental AllSeasonContact rated 62% while driving a Citroën C3 Picasso 1,4 Vti
Driving on mostly motorways for 26000 easy going miles
I'm writing this as I'm about to replace these tyres after 46,000 km. They'd probably last until 60,000, but the snow wear marks have been reached since 42,000 km and I'm going to need winter capable tyres. As far as longevity is concerned, it's OK, but no more than that, because I've got a fairly light, low-powered car and I drive quietly.
Since I don't live in a place where winter tires are mandatory, the Michelin CrossClimate 1, which was presented as a summer tyre capable of driving on snow, could have been a good choice. But I had read in tests that the Michelin looses its directional ability on snow over 40km/h. That's good enough for the last few kilometres of the 'climb up to the resort' in the French Alps, but I need tyres that will allow me to travel in winter in Germany, Austria and northern Italy, where I've sometimes experienced snowstorms on motorways in heavy traffic, at speeds of over 100km/h. So I chose the Continent Allseason Contact.
I made the wrong choice: since buying it, I've only driven 40 km on snow, on a small mountain road.
I did find that the Allseason Contact is very good on fresh or packed snow, almost like a winter tyre. I didn't test it on ice, where a siped winter tyre is certainly better.
The Allseason Contact is also very good in the rain, particularly in cold weather.
It's in the dry that things take a turn for the worse: the Allseason Contact causes marked understeer. This isn't dangerous on motorways. But elsewhere you can be surprised by a bend that closes, even at legal speed. And emergency braking in dry conditions is a far cry from that of a summer tyre.
Finally, in very hot weather, the car becomes a pudding on wheels.
In conclusion, the Continental AllSeason Contact is a very good tyre, but it should be seen as a winter tyre that can be driven in summer, exactly the opposite of the Michelin. According to the data sheet for the new Allseason Contact 2, dry performance and longevity have been improved, but this should not change its character.
The Continental AllSeason Contact is a good choice for equipping a year-round car that does a lot of snow driving in winter, but that is not used for long journeys in summer, especially not in the south.
The Continental AllSeason Contact can also be a very good winter tyre, as a complement to a real summer tyre, for regions with a mild climate where frost is rare, with more rain than snow in winter, where a real winter tyre will be unappropriated by mild temperatures.
I haven't yet chosen my next tyres. As I live in the rainy northern French Brittany, the ideal tyre would be a summer rain tyre, capable of occasional use on snow, with good directional control rather than traction. So neither Continental nor Michelin. Based on the latest tests I've consulted, I'm hesitating between Bridgestone, Goodyear, Vredstein or Dunlop.

Nexen N Blue 4 Season rated 77% while driving a MINI Cooper S
Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 spirited miles
Used the N’Blue 4S tires for almost a year now. They replaced a set of summer and winter tires.

In dry conditions, the car handles well, allows for fun spirited driving on winding roads but you can find the limits even if you are not absolutely thrashing the car. Braking performance is the most noticably worse than a set of summer tires, keep that in mind. It’s alright, and I would say very good for the price.
It’s also confident enough in the wet.
I had some snow driving experience too, and it’s surprisingly good at that for a relatively cheap 4 season set.

I am very much satisfied. It replaced a set of higher-end 4 seasons I had on a different set of rims and I am happy with them.

Please do not buy Apollo Tyre i request you from my bottom of heart. after buying tyre warranty service is very bad. He not receiving your calls & service engineer not telling actual points & not sharing any information. Apollo service is worst & very bad. he did not entertain you & not change your tyre in warranty. Please buy another tyre rather than apollo tyre. I am using baleno car, only 8000KM tyre is very bad condition.

Nokian WetProof rated 83% while driving a Hyundai i20
Driving on mostly country roads for 40000 spirited miles
I have these tyres from 2019 on Hyundai I20 2018 hatchback.. around 60.000 klm already.. recently they're becoming slippery probably because I drive fast all the time, on wet roads they were amazing.. driving on wet roads fast also and never had a problem in cornering or braking .. and I really enjoyed that.
When it comes to dry days , I have also enjoyed it..just they could be a slightly slippery but I also enjoyed it.
Briefly the best tyres ever had on wet roads
On dry roads they do well but not the best
