Done about 1000 miles now. Dry grip is fantastic, super sharp and responsive. Done alot of cold (3-5 degrees) wet driving at night and they've never missed a beat. No wheelspin or loss of grip.

They absorb potholes and speed bumps wonderfully. Paid £129.99 a corner from Asda tyres, they were nearly £30 a corner cheaper than Michelin which my 19inch wheels are PS4S. I prefer the Bridgestones.

The best Tyres for everything. this Tyre does not disappoint in dry handling very good in the wet never had a problem with aquaplaning and the grip in every situation is more then enough for most fast drivers.
its just important you use the tyre for what its made for if you don't drive sporty don't buy this tyre because its going to have uneven wear.
and for last the price is okey for what you get but its higher then others and if you drive alot like me you going to buy 2 new tyres every year.

I've had Michelin Pilot Sport 4s in 19" and 18" and both times the Tyres were amazing but the price is allways high. and the Advan Sport V107 didn't cost so much and deliverd amazing results in the dry with great grip in corners and braking but in the wet they are not better then the PS4s particularly when its colder they can lose grip alittle bit and aquaplaning is a problem at 50% tyrelife.
but overall its a great Tyre with good grip and direct steering responds.

Bought a pair of these to replace a pair of Michelin PS4 on the rear of my Focus 1.5T. I have PS5 on the front.

I chose these as they have strong reviews and there was a £60 difference to the PS5 (£89 each at time of purchase)

First thing I noticed is they are alot quieter on the motorway than the PS4's have ever been. The rear grip is predictable and stable in wet, and no quarms at

My old Bridgestone Potenza Sports were on their way out after heroic service and some idiot actually recommended the Alventi and being clearly very gullible and slow I believed him. The Alventi are not terrible, but that does not mean they are any good, they are trundle around slowly in a straight line tyres that did the job until the weather decided to try and drown us all. Then we had half an inch of snow and I was all over the place when my old Potenza would have had zero issues, but I suppose they are summer tyres and you get what you pay for. For 99% of the time they are adequate, but give them a downpour or slight snow and your blood pressure is going to rocket.

First of all I would like to mention that I have switched cars and tyres too. I went from an Audi A4 B8.5 Quattro on Continental Wintercontact 870Ps to a Ford Focus ST mk4 and I was a bit worried going from awd to fwd during the winter, but Pirelli have made a great tyre. Dry, wet and snow grip are excellent, the only circumstance where I have found the tyres to not overachieve my expectations are conditions when the roads are soaking wet and the ambient temperatures are above 3 degrees Celsius and that is only in longitudinal grip when accelerating. Braking is amazing, lateral grip is astonishing for a winter tire and ice and performance is very good and wear seems also good. I would definitely recommend this tyre to anyone.

while driving a BMW E39 5 series
This is my second car on PS5s (the other set is on a family Civic), and on the E39 with Koni Sport, M tech 2 package, and brake upgrades. The steering comes through as quite direct, clean, and composed. Compared with Bridgestone’s sportier options I had on this car (Potenza Sport / RE004), the PS5 feels a touch lighter in steering weight, a bit slower in that first instant of turn-in, and more sidewall flexes. The upside is that the handling is progressive at the limit, slides are easy to hold, and it never feels spiky or nervous.

Against the older PS4, dry grip is a small step up, while the general handling character is broadly similar. Corner entry and line-holding are solid, and the car stays nicely balanced. Interestingly, the tyre seems to suit RWD BMWs better than it does our FWD Civic: on the Civic, it feels a bit vaguer on turn-in and carries more understeer than it did on older RE003s, whereas on the RWD BMW it feels more natural on the PS5. Perhaps a little more sidewall support for FWD cars would help the initial response and hold the line through the corners.

Wet performance on the PS5 is impressive. Hydroplaning resistance is very strong—clearly better than RE004, and roughly on par with Potenza Sport. It’s also a small improvement over PS4 in the wet. Wear has been good so far too—much better than Potenza Sport and better than PS4 in my experience. Ride quality is another win: it’s more compliant and refined than the Potenza Sports and RE004s I’ve run before, which have stiffer sidewalls.

Overall, perhaps not the sportiest-feeling tyre, but a strong all-rounder—secure in the wet, durable, comfortable, and still plenty capable in the dry, especially on a well-sorted RWD chassis.

Compared to the previous tires on the car, Lexani UHP207, absolutely a dream. There was a bit more road noise but for the benefit in everything else it was great. Bite could be better but the mid corner grip is amazing. When they reach the limit the tires will let you know, but not as loudly as other tires. The feel is good but it could be better. Wonderful to daily and would buy again but I did get mine used with 500 miles on them for almost a 1/3 of retail price. At full price I'm not sure if its the best tire, but if you can get a set for under $700 with little to no miles in a size similar to mine then I fully believe they are worth the upgrade. Especially if you're coming from a lower tier tire company.

Driving on a combination of roads for 300 average miles
Wanted to put in this review, after driving for about 500km. Right now, it is subjective at best, and will post a more comprehensive one after clocking more miles. Coming from a Giti Sport S2, the tyre comfort was way better (not a good comparison I know - UHP vs Touring). As I drive in Malaysia and Singapore, and it is now the rainy season, haven't had issues with wet grip and aquaplaning so far.

Sharpness of steering wheel is acceptable. Obviously lesser than the Giti Sport S2, but definitely not as muted / dead as some reviewers put it.

The quietness of the tyres are amazing, and very very quiet on smooth and fresh tarmac. It is also much better than UHPs on rougher tarmac.

The rolling resistance is also very noticeably lower than typical UHPs (I draw comparison to Michelin PS4, Goodyear F1A6, Giti Sport S2).

The softer sidewalls also mean a more comfortable ride. While it does affect cornering, with a bit more roll, it is not that bad for its intent as a touring tyre.

Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 spirited miles
I ran the PA5 as a dedicated winter tire on a GR Corolla in winter 2023 (~3000 miles) and then transferred the same set of tires to a Civic Type R for winter 23/24 (another ~3000 miles.)

My most notable findings:
This 235/40/18 had an actual tread width more like a 225 or ever a 215, by eye. They looked super stretched on the OEM 18x8.5 GRC wheel where the same size PS4 looked almost pinched. My theory is that they bank on the very textured sidewall to play in deep snow traction thanks to the stretch.

Wow, is the tread shallow. I had to double check the sidewall to confirm that these are indeed 3PMSF rated.

And then.. they did great in the snow. Of course not as well as Blizzaks or other dedicated snow tires I've used, especially in the deeper stuff. But light snow and even the packed-down snow/ice stuff, they did significantly better than any all-season I've run. I will say they struggled for grip under acceleration in the CTR in all conditions, but that is reasonable.

It was a bit of a shock to switch over to my summer tires from the PA5s and not feel an immense improvement in performance. That is to say it is crazy how close in performance the Pilot Alpin 5 is to the PS4's of the GRC. I have a few friends who have nice cars but are lazy and run snow tires year-round. Boy did I have a recommendation for them!

I didn't put enough miles on them to judge the wear before selling them (due to no longer needing them) but the Civic seemed to be burning through the fronts a bit quickly.
